Our Design Process

Through seamless collaboration and a wealth of collective experience, the KED Interiors team brings your home aspirations to life, crafting dynamic spaces that grow and adapt alongside you. Whether revitalizing existing structures or designing a new home, this journey is a partnership that unites your vision with our passion for design. Our process begins with attentive listening, embracing a collaborative, team-driven approach to fuse architecture, color, elements and aesthetics. Specializing in bespoke remodels and new home construction, we then channel your interests and lifestyle into a personalized haven that redefines your home, through in-person meetings, close collaboration, drawings and 3d renderings, site visits, and streamlined project management.

Step 1 of our design process is to schedule a Discovery Meeting to learn about your project goals and lifestyle. This critical first meeting, allows us to fully understand your project so that we can provide you with a realistic design proposal that defines the scope of work and the related design investment.

Refine & Establish

With a signed proposal of services, we'll take what we've learned about your project expectations, style, space constraints and budget, and in return deliver fresh, curated design options, space plans, finish and material choices, and renderings that will give you a clear vision of what your space can be.

Detail & Document

Having approved the design concepts, space plan options and finish choices, we'll dive into the design development and detail stage. Here we'll document the individual details of bespoke furnishings, material and cabinetry choices and interior architecture drawings for final approval. At this stage we will also present a detailed breakdown of the furnishings.

Coordinate & Complete

Every successful design is made up of hundreds if not thousands of individual product and service decisions and details. Our team has the project management skill and trade software that allows us to communicate, coordinate, track, problem solve, warehouse, deliver and finally install every bit of it. All purchasing, expediting and even the final delivery and placement of your home furnishings are handled with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Small projects typically consist of at least three full rooms. There may be elements in the room you are keeping such as flooring, but we want to be able to complete a full vision of interior design with both function and aesthetics. In other words, we would be addressing the majority of the room.

  • Yes, we travel for full home interior design projects! We love to work on out of state projects and vacation homes.

  • We have a streamlined design process that allows us to plan out meetings to be efficient and effective. We will create a project schedule and be on location at key design stages of the project and of course coordinate with the contractor.
